When we look at the scriptures it is pretty clear that even Jesus needed times of solitude. If the Savior that we follow had meaningful quiet times, maybe we should focus on doing the same.
You see, to follow Jesus means to put your faith in Him and His work on the cross. But from there we are called to follow Him by loving God and loving others. Jesus considered this to be the most important command.
Don’t just take your kids to church. Instead show them what it looks like to love the Lord and to be an active member of Jesus’ Church.
When we finally realize our need for Him and our hearts return to Him we will be overwhelmed by a feeling that we know so well… finally, we are home.
