Have you ever had a bad day? Are you going through something right now that feels like it is going to crush you? I think we have all been there. Many times it even feels like no matter what we do, we simply cannot get out of the ruts of every day life.
The Christian of course is not immune to the trials that are inevitable. We do however have hope in knowing that the Lord is faithful to remember the promise in Romans 8:28 that states He “works all things together for the good of those who love Him.”
We have all heard the saying “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” But today I want to present a different approach to the difficulties we face.
When God gives you lemons, find a way to use them to glorify Him.
In the loneliness, the pain, the depression, the anxiety, the sickness, and the reality of death it is hard to see something good, but we have recognize that it is there. It is always there!
When the Lord said “I will never leave you, nor forsake you” He meant it! And despite the sourness of the lemons that we are given, the sweetness of knowing that God is always there for us will create a wonderful balance that is refreshing to our souls.
So in your sickness rely on the Lord. In your depression seek hope in the Lord. When you’re tired find rest in the Lord.
We all have bad days and what we do with those will define who we are now, and for all eternity.
